The Botswana Guide Training Manual is aimed at professional guides and is intended to be used throughout their guiding career. The book contains both the information that a guide needs in order to qualify, as well as information that we feel is of interest to guides working within Botswana.  There is plenty of information that goes beyond the Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) and Field Guide Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) requirements. We, at Okavango Guiding School, hope that this manual is a great source of information throughout your guiding career. Due to the limitation on file sizes for Kindle Books, this is a text version. You will receive the fully illustrated hard copy on arrival at camp.

Botswana Trails Guide Manual is a wonderful fully illustrated training manual that covers the BQA Back-Up Trails and Lead Trails qualifications. It is full of great information on weapons safety and ballistics. It covers all the aspects of potentially dangerous animals such as buffalo, lion, elephant etc teaching guides to understand the warning signs of elevated tension or aggession, charging speeds, shot placements etc. We also cover the fundamental principles of guiding on foot and creating a unique wilderness experience.
